New To Nitrous... Need help. Well I'm new to the world of Nitrous and I need suggestions, tips, precautions, etc. My vehicle is an 98 Z/28 A4 w/3.23/MMS Stage 2 11.3 compression/MMS 229 cam/stock displacement bottom end/ 4900 stall/Shifting at 6800RPM/stock fuel system. I'm looking to set up a completely hidden kit(maybe under the intake manifold), 75 shot(nothing too big,just enough for the advantage). Sooooo.....
1. Creative ways to hide it?
2. What upgrades to the fuel system are recommended.
3. What safety precautions should be taken?
4. Am I crazy?

im not gonna say what i want to say, but if you dont have the advantage with that combo i would suggest a NOS 5177 dry kit. you can hide it well and with MUCH lower shiftpoints, an inline pump (for good measure), and a plug change you can run 75-80hp easy.

Re: New To Nitrous... Need help. Damn That's the setup I'm aiming for. Go with the NOS #5177 like Ryan said. It's the easiest to hide and fairly easy to install. You'll need a MSD window switch, intank or inline fuel pump, WOT Switch and probably a new Tranny <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0"> , oh and new injectors!

Re: New To Nitrous... Need help. I hear you(need advantage?), but there are so many H/C cars around it's neccessary. A bolt on H/C car w/ spray can easily run mid to low 11's. [quote]4900 stall?! I was thinking about shifting at 6200 or so. Good enough? Would you suggest upgradinging in jectors?

Re: New To Nitrous... Need help. Bigger pump (or an inline helper) and bigger injectors. Ford SVO 30s would be fine (they actully flow 36 lb at the LS1's 58 psi because they're rated at 44.5 psi.) A fuel pressure gauge and Autotap would be MUCH advised!
You'll want a tighter converter if you get to spraying much more than a 75 shot for best results, otherwise it'll be stalling the moon! <img src="images/icons/shocked.gif" border="0">
And of course like the others said, cooler plugs.
