Default Wet/DRY dual stage

I am tryin to figure out how I want to set up a dual stage kit on my '01 TA. It is an a4 with a 3200 vigi conv, borla, and a wisper lid. I also have a tnt 100 wet shot. I'd like to spray 150, but do not want that hard hit all at once for 2 reasons. One is traction on the street. The other is cylinder pressure. Ideally, I would like to hit 50-75 out of the hole dry and another 75-100 wet as soon as I hook. Rather than do a progressive controller to keep the cylinder pressure down I want to do dual stage. The problem is that I do not know anything about the dry kits. Can I just pice together a kit for the dry shot. You just spray straight into the MAF and let the computer to the fuel adjustments???? I will be adding an inline fuel pump. Please help me out with this.

Thanks

its not hard to add a dry shot. just throw in a y-fitting in your feed line before you get to the wet shot. run this line to a solenoid (you can pick up a NOS Cheater for like $90 or maybe scam an NX or some other for cheaper) and then to a NOS Fan Nozzle. Summit and Jegs has fan nozzles, they spray only nitrous. the best way to install it is drill a hole in your lid where the large portion of the lid attaches to the neck...kinda in that bend where the IAT sensor is. Dont point the nozzle directly at the MAF. Try to aim it at the top or front of the box, the incoming air will push the n2o into the engine and the MAF will add fuel accordingly. Just make sure to add an inline fuel pump and keep an eye on everything with a-tap.

Ryan said some really good things!

I am thinking about doing this as well! Another thing you can think about is just calling James at TNT. He can hook you up with the nessesary switch over parts, and I dont think it will be exopensive. You can also do it the way ryan said to do it by peicing it together through catalogs and stuff.

Either way you go its a good idea and you shouldnt ahve any problem setting it all up the way you want!

Good luck and smart method of putting it down!

Andy, I have an idea for your car with a two stage. A guy in Dallas (Sean Freese/FASTech) did this kind of. The power ring has 2 nozzles, on on each side, right? ok, buy another set of solenoids (fuel and n2o) and the appropiate lines. Hook one set to the left side, and one set to the right. I wont be the standard dry/wet, but it will still be a 2-stage. and a powerfull one at that. max that FP out and hang on! Sean went 10.30 if im not mistaken with the following: cam from ARE i think, local sub-stage 1 heads, stock block, built 4L60/3500 stall, and 3.23's. He used 2 NX kits with separate bottles and a ring. worked real well it looks like. I sould have bought it when i had the chance.

Well thanks Ryan but I have some gearing issues to work out first.

As you can see my MPH is only 124.9 with a best of 125.6. I am not making it through the traps right now I am hitting my third gear rev limiter about 20 feet short of the finish so any more power and it wont do me any good. I basicalyl max what I have in the 60', all the way till the finish before I add more power. Right now the car runs consistant low 1.5 60's with a best of 1.45. I am spinning on all of the 1.5 60's on the bottle, so my main focus right now hooking and gearing. That I know will get me into the 10.5' without haveing to add any more power, and it will be easier on my motor LOL <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Once I get those two issues worked out over the off season I am definetly throwing a second stage on!
