Surging Fixed, Misajusted Pressure Switch
The FPSS was adjusted to high and was cutting the nitrous flow off and back on. So when I hit the
button the nitrous would start to flow then the
fuel pressure would drop just slightly and the FPSS would cut off the flow, When the flow stopped the fuel pressure would come up then the nitrous would start flowing again. etc. etc. you get the picture.
Problem solved, just wanted to share this with you. <img src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" />
I hooked up a volt Ohm meter to the
two contacts on the switch, take the little rubber
plug out of the nose of the switch, insert the proper size allen wrench.
Have someone go in and start the car, Rev it to about 2500 or 2600 rpm's, I then turned the allen clockwise till electrical contact is broken then counter clockwise till electrical concact is made and about 1/2 turn more (CCW). That's it. By the way I use autometer's electric fuel pressure gauge in the car and the guage indicates about 67.5 lbs pressure with no nitrous flow and about 63.0 lbs with nitrous flow...
I figure that if a fuel pressure failure should occur the failure would be instant and the FPSS should do it's job.
