Soid or hydraulic cam for nitrous
The best thing with the solid roller is that it will allow you to go much bigger with the cam specs. So I would say it would be better with nitrous since you could run a really extreme cam.
The only draw back is the maintanaice of the vavle train.
I would say your best bet on this subject would be to talk to Nick Agostino, during the build up which I am sure you already have. When it comes to building nitrous motors those guys really know their stuff!
Good luck!
Ok, a solid lift cam would help to get the charge into, and especially, out of the engine more efficiently. When using large doses of N2O the exhaust side of the equation is VERY important. A large solid lift cam will have the valves open wide longer (not only because of more duration but also because of steeper ramp rates) and wider to help get the massive charge out of the engine.
Now of course the drivetrain will have to be matched to the power range of the engine to take full advantage of the higher revving solid lift setup. Pay special attention to getting the gearing and converter (if this is a manual transmission) right for the combo.
