Default useing propane

Has anyone ever used propane as the fuel for thier wet kits? Ive herd vipers doing it, i think it would be beneficial because it turns to a cold gasious state when released in to the air? Any opinions? <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

BTRmotorsports I think sells a kit for it. Propane is like 110 octane and works very well with Nitrous. You can run slightly larger shots, and it wont tax your fuel system. I am leaning towards propane for my second stage....its a very easy install. The only thing I dont like is what happens if there is a massive leak in the car. I suppose it wouldnt be any worse than a fuel leak. I used to fill propane cars all the time and the stuff would just spew out everywhere when disconnecting...I hated that.

Anyways there is a Viper in my area that runs 10.40s at mid 130s on the 200 shot of propane. The stuff works.

I'd rather stay with gas.If propane leaks it will puddle in your car at the lowest point.

Why not just run a separate small fuel cell with an electric pump for nitrous. Keep this full of hi-octane gas.

Gas is much easier to tune on the bottle (colors the plugs much better), requires less volume per unit hp increase, and is more pervasive in general. This would have the same benefits of not taxing your stock fuel system, giving you an octane boost, etc.
