Default Arming switch for an M6

Was wondering where would be the ideal spot to place the switch? Need to have a quick access spot in order to activate after shifting gears?? BTW this is for a T/A. Pictures would rock but any ideas will help me out a lot. Thanks..Michael

I've heard stories of people using the stereo control buttons on the left side of the steering wheel for spray buttons. Would be awesome, completely hidden, and have one hand on the wheel and one on the shifter at all times.

I would like to see the how-to on this.

Just use a WOT switch. When you shift just let off the gas so the nitrous will shut off, and floor it again to activiate it. You should only be running nitrous at WOT anyways.

arm the system on the line, set the window switch at 3300 and 5800 and floor down the track, the window switch will cut the nitrous on the shifts, if you miss a gear!! <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">

Thanks for the replys...but I already have the WOT and window switch installed. I don't want to engage the N2O until 3rd gear so I would need to find an ideal place to place the switch in order for me to activate the system easly while shifting into 3rd gear...thanks <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

well..if you wanted to start in 2nd gear all you need is a microswitch on the shifter in the normally closed position. If the shifter is in first it won't spray. Once you leave first it will spray. (the switch was mounted to the base of the shifter and the stick activated it) I'm sure you could use the same idea and use 2 switches in series (one for first gear and one for 2nd gear) that would prevent spraying in those gears.

I activate my second stage of nitrous in this manner (on the 1-2 shift)

wire the switch in reverse (normally closed) so that if the shifter is in first gear it OPENS the switch and shuts the nitrous off. Like I said you can put one on for 2nd gear too and wire it in series so if the car is in first OR second the nitrous won't flow.

Fireball I am not following you with the switch??? Would that only allow the nitrous to spry in 2nd gear or would I then have to have a switch for all the gears?? Sorry I just can not picture the set up... <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

You use a natrualy closed switch. You can find them throug summit, or even some local parts stores will have them..

I used a standard microswith (just like the ones used for most WOT switches) They can be used either normally open or normally closed.
