I have been considering purchasing myself a nice nitrous system for the races I'm not so sure about. I would probably only do a 75 shot. My spark plugs are gapped at.060 right now and I know that they should be gapped lower when using nitrous, but other than that, what should I do to make sure I'm absolutley safe while using nitrous, and the main question.... should I do it or not? thanx alot.

I was in the same game I went with the 5177 kit and made a daul stage out of it

I was also. My fist kit was the 5177 then a NX and now I have the TNT kit. And trust me it wont stay a 75 shot. Your gonnna want more. I went form a 75 to a progressive 200 shot now. Its a drug and you will get addicted very quick

I haven't installed mine yet, but I also wanted to be absolutely safe so after some research I bought the following:

In- line fuel pump (just in case the stock one won't handle it)

Ramchargers timing tuner (allows you to retard timing only when the n2o is activated- without messing up my custom pcm tune, also has a built in window switch so I don't engage it at a low RPM, and so it shuts off just before the shift and saves the trans).

Bottle heater (nice consistent bottle pressure)

Purge (makes sure no air in line so that the car won't bog from more fuel without more n2o)

Fuel pressure safety switch- kills spray if fuel pressure drops.

Colder plugs- prevent detonation.

In addition, I plan running 100 octane minimum when spraying to help prevent detonation.

Also:

Make sure you change the fuel filter, and a n2o filter ain't a bad idea either.
