Default Highest shot LS1 will handle???

Just curious as to what the general consensus is that a stock LS1 can handle. Also keep in mind that mine is a '98 which has bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump than newer LS1's. Without ANY problems I'll add.

With a lid, gms maf, and a cut-out, i had a friend that ran a 150 dry all day on his 98' Formula. Three rotating assemblies later and a brand new long block to go with it, he traded it in for his 2002 T/A, which might i add, has the same kit on it and mods listed above.

How many times do I have to tell you. It was the oil pump that killed my motor. The N20 probably helped the motor though. Yes, I ran a 150 dry kit all day long for over 2 years. N20 is great.

I was running a 200 wet shot for a little bit, but try putting to the ground on the street. I now run a 150 again and have for about 7 months with no problems. A sponsor told me that for a 200 wet shot on a stock motor you WILL need tuning to take timing out at WOT or your motor WILL die. Enough to convince me

I would not go over a 150 shot on a stock bottom end LS1. Even with the proper tuning, 200 shots are to much pressure on the rotating assembly, especially if you're expecting your motor to last.
