Shift points need to change when spraying an A4?
I plan on running at the track both N/A and also spray. Let's say I run the first pass N/A. I plan on running the second pass with a 100 shot of nitrous. Do I need to change my shift points for the added horsepower?
I have a hypertech so I could easily do it if nessessary. BUT, if I get custom tuning, I WON'T be able to change my shift points since the shift points will be burned in there.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
-Jim

yes you should lower your shift points on N2O. 6-spd guys do it dont they? why wouldnt a4 guys do it. the power curve is TOTALLY different on n2o.
I don't know about the power curves being completely disimilar. My 01' silverado curves are just about the same minus the converter lock-up just relocated on the graph. The torque is proportionately higher at just about all levels.

The only reason I change the shift points is to take it easy on the tranny. With a different cam, this will definately change.
