Anyone using an NX remote bottle opener ???
Im using a NX bottle opener on my older NOS bottle. I've had the bottle filled 3 other times before, and everything was fine.
Well now when i put the bottle opener on and open it while the line is connected, nitrous comes out the opener end. Well then i put the **** back on and manually open it and everything is fine.... anyone got any ideas what might be happening??

How tight do you have the clamp around the opener? I had some problems when I was overtightening it. Also, you might check the valve, cause I also was having problems when the opener was not putting enought pressure down on the valve pin, and it was leaking N20. That's the only problems that I can think of specifically. Hope you get it fixed.

and im also pretty sure it was pushed down all the way. Im going to go ahead and leave the origanl **** on it till this bottle is empty, so i dont waste anymore nitrous trying to figure it out.. next refill ill try again and see what happens.

I have the opener also, I don't think it closes the bottle all the way. I could close the bottle and purge the line empty. Then a little while later the line would be full again! I lost a whole bottle of nitrous before I figured out what was happening.
You put the opener on with the bottle fully open, right? This gives the clearence it needs.
When you open the bottle it screws out.If the opener can't move back, the nitrous will blow out the valve.

sounds like a good idea but theres 2 ways im thinking i could do it..........
1. connect the SS line and manually open it, take off the handle and put the opener on...... would this work?
2. put the cap on the other end that they give you, open it, put the opener on, use the opener to close it and take the cap off....... or is this the right way?
thanks guys
