MISfire????
im getting a misfire flashing ses OLNY while i spray. i check the noid and the fuel doesnt seem to be spraying the best it could, granit iv never seen it spray befor so i dont know what it should look like any other idea, plugs are fine and no motor damage, just an ses while i spray...................
Thats odd. I havent heard that one yet. What size shot are you spraying. What plugs and gap? Does it feel steady when spraying? Tell us more about your system and mods.

sorry it took so long to get back
its an NX wet kit, tr6s gapped at 40. plugs looked good when i last seen them but im gonna replace them anyway. i thought i might be low bottle or somthing but it did it with a full one too. im so confused an dont want to spray till i figure it out it isnt the cam cuz ive never gotten an ses light with it and it doesnt do it if i let it idle for a long time either so i know it not engine damage ( i went through a melted piston a few months ago so i know what that is like). only thing i can think of is to freshen up the noids, is that hard??

No problem...so how did it feel on the spray. Was the power smooth? was it lower than normal? I would think it could be caused by the nitrous noid staying closed and just dumping massive fuel in there. I think that would give misfires quicker. Does it flash as soon as you spray or does it occur a few minutes after? And how long will the flashing SES light stay with you? You said you checked the Fuel spray...what about the nitrous spray? Check any screens or filters on the nitrous lines? When you do the plugs check the plug wires closely.
There are only so many possibilities. And 95% of all problems are usually related to a few items items.
1) No nitrous flow
a) delivery related; bottle position, bottle valve problem, line obstuction, filter/screen clogged, solenoid plunger problem.
b) electrical problem; bad grounds, bad switchs, open damaged wires, insufficient current to open solenoids, solenoid coil open internally
2) Fuel flow problem
a) delivery related; insufficient fuel pressure, kinked/clogged lines, solinoid plunger problem.
b) electrical problem; see 1b
3) ignition problem; plugs, plug gap, plug wires, coils, etc(may not show up NA but can on juice) Be sure to check for basics...even an arcing plug wire may not have a misfire running NA but could trying to spray.
4) Miscelaneous electrical, could any of your install have affected another sytem adversely?
To check everything on the list only takes half a day. And when I say check...I mean check. Such as grounds...too many times someone will just look at the ground and see that its touching metal. Not good enough. Take it apart, clean it, check it with a meter. You get the drift. Even if the problem is not one of these items listed...often as your going through the list doing hands on troubleshooting youll discover the problem just from the fact that your digging around.
Good luck......Al
Oh yeah...maybe you can Atap to see if its a specific cylinder that is misfiring. Might help narrow it down.

ya well my atap is out of service till i get a new cord (thanx gage(my dog))
n20 flo is good, new n20 filter, the power level(sotp meter)was good and normal, no sputering, the light comes on around the 1/8mi mark and stays still it goes steady or somtimes just stops after the run( when car is idle again). the electrical part is all good,i checked and double checked, all i have to do now is change the plugs, and while im at it im gonna check push rods just to be on the safe side.

A dumb question...is there anything else that can turn on a flashing SES besides misfire?
Really? I believe that must be in 2000 and up cars...mine has a seperate low coolant light.
Thats interesting...Grinch, any problems with coolant system? Check the level lately? When my heads where lifting a while back it would pressurise the coolant system and cause the low coolant light to come on everytime. If yours is a flashing SES..........ya never know!

well it turns out i had a fouled plug, it didnt seem that way when i pulled them the first time but i guess driving it around made it worse ans now it really shows, no more misfire and all is well, i looked like the plug end accually broke off not melted, but i cant really tell.....
