Default old nitrous bottles

are there any cons to having an old nitrous bottle? im about to buy 2 extra bottles but they are both 5-6 years old.

It depends, if the previous owner used a torch to heat the bottles and damaged the structural integerity, dropped it, etc.

^^^ what he said. i took mine to a local praxair and they hydrotested them. had to send them out, took like 4 days and 18 bucks. most supply stores that service and sell fire extinguishers will be able to hydro test or have a supplier that can hydro test bottles.

Couldn't agree with Ryan more...

I would most definitely suggest getting old bottles hydrotested before using them. It could be the difference between life n death if someone is standing around when it finally taps out. We had a local racer get his leg blow off because of a situation with old used bottles.
