Default 100 or 150 HP shot

When shooting a 100 HP shot with a stock fuel pump....If you had a fuel pressure gauge how much drop in pressure would you see? How much drop with a 150 shot?
I know you don't want to do a 150 shot with a stock fuel pump I'm looking for the information of how much drop in fuel pressure would you observe in these two cases.

I do not know the exact amont in pounds but I can tell U yeterday while I was on the dyno the wideband recorded a huge spike in the A/F ratio! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

When F.R.E.D. hit with the initial hit of 50% of the 100 shot the A/F ratio went from 12.6 to 14.0 @ 5100 rpm ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I also ATAPED and saw 3.8 degrees of KR !!

So I would say be very careful ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I am looking into a new fuel pump as I type this !

Good luck and be safe ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Since your talking about a 150 shot I'm assuming you have a wet system. As long as your vehicle's pump is fairly new. Meaning you don't have a lot of miles on your LS1, then your pump is sufficent for now. In my own expierence with the stock pump. I saw about a 3, 4 or 5(at the most) pound drop in pressure. With the Walbro 255lph in tank pump I saw no drop in pressure. It stayed constant the majority of the time, sometimes droping a pound.

And don't forget to throw in a little extra octane when using a 150 shot to help combat detonation.

Thanks for the responses guys. I do have an inline booster pump. The real reason for my post is to figure out if I want to buy a full sweep fuel pressure gauge for a bout 180 bucks. If the drop was huge I would not need to get such an accurat gauge, but it sounds like the drop is fairly smalle and a less expensive gauge will not show the loss so well. I know the cheap gauge only show pressure in a 12.5 pound increments, the full sweep is the way to go I guess.
