spark plug gap with bigger shots of N2o? 382 with 200 250 shot of N20. I was just wondering how spark plug gap comes into effect on this? anybody who can help me out on the basics? what do i need to know on how to determine how much spark plug gap to run on the car? Re: spark plug gap with bigger shots of N2o? I am going through this myself. I have run near 600 rwhp with gaps as big as .042 on TR6s. It did not blow out the spark at all. However..I do believe the the extra .007 if the electrode sticking out into the combustion area may have aided is some of the detonation I experianced. Right now im using Tr6 gapped at .035. I think I may try a range colder and a slightly larger gap...like .040 and see how that works out. So I cant give you an answer...just my experiance so far.

Re: spark plug gap with bigger shots of N2o? To get the most power run the biggest gap you can without getting a miss fire, which will probably be .035-.040 gap.

Re: spark plug gap with bigger shots of N2o? ...waht he said, but the gap size (with the small range we're concerned with) has very little effect on overall power output. The issue with N2O charges (and pressurized charges for that matter) is the (effective) charge density and the ability of the voltage delta to jump the gap. higher charge densities, which is emulated by N2O use requires either a greater voltage delta or a smaller gap to be able to fire the plug.
