Default Quick wiring question

Go the TNT F1 Kit with NX Heater, remote and purge. I was advised to use fusible links on all power sources, but should I run a heavier gauge wire on any of the lines? If so, can you tell me which.

Thanks,

Mike

you will want heavy gauge wire from the battery to the heater relay, and from the heater relay, to the heater pad, as well as the heater pad, to ground. 12 minimum, 10 reccomeded.

for the battery to tnt relay, and from the tnt relay to solenoids, you should run some heavier gauge wire, as that can drawup to 28 amps, if you have the large noids. I would use 16 or larger

same with purge 16 or larger

Ok, thanks...

I drew out the wiring on paper, and actually just found a mistake after reading your response. I had the black power lead on the heater relay set up to a keyed power source, rather than the batter treminal.

Thanks,

Mike

Now for a second question. Currently I have an amp in the back. I have a direct line to the battery and one bolted to the frame for a ground. Both power and ground are 8 gauge. I also have a spare power distribution block with dual fuses(one for each line) and a ground distribution block lying around. Do you think this would be ok or not to tie in to the power and ground at the same points as the amp? I would tend to believe it would be fine, but it never hurts to ask.

I have done that before, no problem.

with 8 gauge wire, your not going to want to really bump the system really hard, and run the heater, as 8 gague is generally good for 40 amps, and the heater will draw around 20. But for normal listening, you should not have a problem.

Thanks

If I happen to run into a problem down the road, I'll just run a heavier line from the battery to the distribution block.
