nitrous pressure guage prob.
ok ,installed the 5117 kit today, everything went smooth as silk. except, that when i picked up the bottle to place it in the brackets, my finger accidently pushed the little rubber plug on the back of the n20 guage. into the guage. then all the liquid proceeded to pour out!! the guage works, but you can here a constant faint sound of air coming out of the hole where the plug used to be. i dont think its n20 leaking, since i pushed it out at 11 am and its 6:30 pm now and the bottle has 1100psi in it and still weighs 34 on my digi. has this happened to anyone else in here, should i be worried?
Its no big deal. The fluid is just there to dampen the needle. you can actually buy gauge fluid but i think you can use mineral oil. or leave it empty. either way the gauge should read accurate.
Call your vendor and they will warrant the guage. I did something similiar and lost all the fluid. I had them send the guage that has no fluid, which was good for them. It cost less, but I don't plan any rougher terrain than my driveway.
BTW, I believe they cost about 40 bucks....that is one horsepower.
Good Luck!
