? sbout fuel for a 100 shot on a H/C
I have a set of stageII heads and cam on my 00 Z28 and the 5177 kit on the way. I only want to spray a 100hp shot. Will stock fuel setup support the addition of nitrous on top of the H/C? If upgrades to the injectors/fuel pump/etc are needed what route should I go?
I wouldn't go any larger than a 36 pound injector with your current intentions. I think you should also go with a minimum of a 255 LPH Walbro intank pump to maintain constant fuel pressure. Of course going larger such as the 340 lph or dual 255 intank pumps would be even better down the road fo more future mods
What kind of HP #s are you getting from your H/C package? What year is your car? If your getting 420 rwhp from your H/C motor you would be smart yo upgrade your fuel system before adding a true 100 shot. I used to have a mild H/C motor that put out 365 rwhp and I used a 100 shot for over a year on stock fuel setup. I was right at 450-465 rwhp on the dyno.
I am putting down around 420 hp on the h/c. As far as upgrading fuel components which route should i go, SVO 30lbs/T-Rex in-line pump/ walpro 255 inline pump/ or both injectors and pump. Every sponsor I have talked to has had a different reponse. What is everyone else running?
If it were my car I would go with no less than 36 lb SVO injectors and a Walbro INTANK 255 lph and custom tuning. With my 5177 kit and 42 lb svo injectors and Walbro intank 255 lph pump I have gone to 623 at the wheels still very rich.
At your HP level I would just go ahead with the intank pump.
