I can get 3-4 runs max out of a set. Towing to the lanes, and back to the pits.

For my combo the nitrous plug is too cold to burn off deposits from running on motor.

Mine are also, it gets worse the higher the octane fuel I use especially it being leaded fuel, but with pump gas it really doesn't get too bad. I would think E85 would be the same way.

Does it have to be an Autolite?

That is ridiculous at 3.10 each. I pay 1.75 for my NGK's when I buy 8 of them and pay 1.52 a piece when we buy more than 100 plugs at a time.

NGK ... easier to read and you might not hurt the motor if you take a strap off.
If you take the strap off an autolite put it back in the trailer because its hurt for sure.
LOL !

Lean it out at idle and pump a few degrees in below 1500. seems to really help burn the crud off and make the plugs last.

Switch to the NGK we get them for around $2 a plug. easier to read and will melt before your head...

Wayne dont think Ive taken the strap off the Autolite yet....

Does NGK have a tapered seat B10 plug? I have rounded the corners of the strap on B9's in the #2 hole... even with 2.5 degrees out on ICT

What A/f do you see at idle? i like close to 15 with 35-40 degrees on most n20 ls cars but only below 2000 rpm.

The straps on the autolites are TOUGH thats why if you do take one off it hurts alot of ****.
The NGK straps are like fuses.

Pretty sure they make all the way up to #11 in tapered seat.

I don't think they make a tapered seat colder than a -9 but I could be wrong.

You know you can run a gasket seat in a tapered seat head right? Usually takes a extra 1/4 turn to crush the gasket and you've got the same reach as a tapered would.

If you've got a spare head laying around try it out yourself.
