Sprayed car value? I'm not sure if this is exactally the right place to post this question but...
I am looking to buy a 98 z28, and the person selling it has sprayed a 150 shot. I've heard from people on different boards that price value goes down when you spray. Is this true or not. If it is, how much does it really go down, and will there be problems with the car down the road.

Re: Sprayed car value? it would go down because it has been beat on... if u spray a car and do it right, no backfires or detonation it actually cleans out the valves and piston tops. adds more stress to components etc... i know a guy with a 100k mi LT1 has over 60 bottles through it 150-200 shot and tranny is only thing wrong w/ it now
Re: Sprayed car value? Do a compression test, and a bleed down test. If the compression is low, or leaking...PASS. Otherwise the car I think is worth more if it has other upgrades i.e. rearend,clutch,heads,pcm work etc. Just use your common sense. Dont buy a bonestock car with a nitrous kit, when you can buy an identical car without nitrous and add it yourself.
