Shoot it and find out..hahaha, the 4.8s are cheap enough! If the tune is right I bet a bone stock 4.8 with no mods could handle over 200 no problem, if the rpms are kept stock and don't spray below 3000rpms. Probably way more but that would be my safe answer...

bud racing... that is as true on a stock motor as it is on a full prepped race motor. Trust me. back in the day i destroyed a motor i had built with forged pistons, rods ,crank rings gapped big the whole setup set to spray. i had sprayed it at the track for a year or so on and off then one night my fuel selenoid malfuntioned on the nitrous kit and it ran to lean and melted down the edges of the piston crowns. this was all on about a 200 shot.

depending on what you already have done to your engine.
The thing you will have to look out for is the fuel system. Depending oh what year vehicle you have will determine how far you can go on your stock fuel system.
If you have the right spark plugs, enough fuel, right amount of timing pulled out, and window switch, its not uncommon for that motor to see 150 hit on it. Sometimes more with good tuning.
