I'm thinking about throwing a dry kit on my truck and wanted to see what you guys think. I'm new to nitrous, but feel like it will be a pretty effective add on. I'm thinking about spraying 100 dry in front of my mass air. Do you guys think my engine will handle it ok? Also what plugs would you recommend? Thanks for any help and or pointers....

The motor will defiantly handle it as long as you have the fuel to support it ie. pump and injectors in your case because your shooting it dry.

As far as plugs go for a 100hp shot i would recommend a NGK BR6EF (3177) if you decide to go over that 100 HP make than I would say BR7EF (3346).

thanks for the info.. Im running some 33lb injectors and my duty cycle runs around 78% or so right now.. I think they will be ok for the occasional spray..

I don't like dry systems but that is up to you.

I ran a good number of bottles through my 2001 LQ4 and when I pulled it apart to build the 408 she looked like brand new event with 240,000+ miles.

What times is your S-10 running now? If you spray out of the hole you should easily drop a full second.

With a dry kit, you'll definitely need bigger injectors. I was able to spray a 75 dry shot ok, but never could get a 100 shot to run right through the MAF. You'd be better off with a wet plate. Trust me, I've been through all this before. A wide band is also needed.

Ive already got a wide band hooked up. I only need a tad bit of extra help to reach my goal. My truck runs around 12.0 right now. My best pass so far was 11.97 @112. My local track is an NHRA track so I cant run under 11.49 without have a roll bar/cage. I dont think it will take much to gain me a half second so thats why I was just gonna keep it simple n spray a small dry shot..
