I pay $140 for a 75lb mother bottle fill....thats with them delivering to my house and swapping for me. Its $45/yr to lease the mother bottle. It cost me around $100 for my transfer hose and valve setup.

So i believe it comes out to just under $2 a pound plus the yearly lease

depending on how much your local fill shops charge you can save some serious money. We have had customers that have said that the local places charge upwards of $7 a pound if not more.

That's insane. Shop here charges $3.75 #

I'm getting stuff to do my own. $60 a year lease and around a hundred for transfer stuff with filter.

Then, mother tank costs $1.85 a # right now for the gas

It depends on if you can get a good source for a mother bottle. Here, I had a very hard time finding a place to get a mother bottle for under $4.50/lb and when the local shop charges $5/lb I can't see the benefit.

Please tell me who is selling nitrous at $1.85/lb? Airgas? Urie Blanton? Puritan Bennett?

I buy all my welding gases (10-15 bottle of argon a week) from my local gas distributor, Best I can get is $3.50/lb.

When I was in Dayton, I've seen it go for as low as $1.25/lb for a mother bottle. I haven't been able to find anywhere near Pittsburgh NEAR that low though. Most places want $4-5/lb here.

You guys paying that low... Im assuming youre not getting Nytrous +.

Yeah standard USP grade Nitrous Oxide can be that low. Unfortunately some places wont sell the unadulterated nitrous unless youre legit to get medical or food grade.

Nytrous + is what I always get. Only thing they carry besides medical grade which is illegal unless authorized.

Ive never even seen Nytrous + in 75lb cylinders. 52lb and 64lb bottles are what is sold around here.
