I am wanting to put an NX kit on my Ls1. I have a set of stage 2 ported and polished heads on my car that has about forty thousand miles on them. I bought them when they had about 36,000 miles on them. My question is that the heads have been around the block a few times. After I bought them I was told I should check the valves because they might be bad. I put them on without checking them and they dynoed 400 to the rear wheels without tuning so they dont seem that bad. If I put a 100 shot on the car is it going to kill the heads or will I be okay. Other than a piston slapping the valves or a bent pushrod is there any other way for them to go bad.

 

A 100 shot will be safe.With a fuel pump you could run 150 shot.
