hooking up nos (window switch)???????
red: needs to be connected to a switched power of some sort it needs power to it when the car is turned on or the nitrous system (your choice -I connected mine to the micro switch) I ran power to the micro-switch and then ran the other side of the micro switch to this wire. That way when the micro-switch was activated it would supply power to this wire (red), and in turn activate the window switch. The micro-switch was provided power through the toggle that turned the system on!
white: This is the tach wire and needs to be connected to your tach lead coming off of your PCM. I believe this is pin 10 on the red side of the harness, but you can double check on this site.
yellow: This is what activates the solenoid. It needs to be run to one side of the solenoid. (it is important to note that this wire is a switched ground(-) and has no power. So it provides a ground for something that already has power. i.e connected power to the solenoid (usually when car is turned on) then the yellow wire would attach to the other side of the solenoid. When the window switch is activated then this wire will provide a ground for the solenoid.
black: Obviously this is a ground wire and needs its own chassis ground.
It is also important to note that you will need to cut both the blue and the red loop, on the window switch, that calibrates it for a specific engine! In essence you will be running the window switch in a 4 cylinder mode. On the LS1 this is necessary due to the coil packs. If you do not do this then either the window switch will not come on, or your tach will send the wrong data to your switch (i.e. inaccurate reading)
Eitherway someone can correct me if I am wrong, but this is how I have my system wired!
I think it is Fireball and/or the Colonel has a complete diagram for the Nitrous set-up - to include the MSD window switch.
Basically,
White to the tach
Black to any ground
Red to the switch that activates the system
The relay:
Yellow wire from the window switch to pin 85 of the relay
Pin 86 to a switched power source
Pin 30 intercepts the power switch from activation switch
Pin 87 to the WOT switch (middle post)
Once you see the wire diagram it will make more sense.
I mounted mine on the inside of the driver's side fender well - right next my line-loc - a bunch of electronic equipment.
