Call me nuts but I just ordered a 150 shot complete kit for LS1 from Summit. It comes with a 10 lb bottle and a "micro chip"

He says you activate the switch and then it kicks in at WOT. I really am going off on this car, I have the speed addiction!

50 state smog legal and adjustable from 75 to 150!

Now that is bang for the buck!

How many runs (like say a 1/4 mile) will a 10lb bottle do?

Summit says the kit includes *everything* I will need. Is this true?

What should I expect to pay for install?

Summit also says no custom tuning will be needed. True?

Do I need to change my TR55's to TR6's??

 

Yes you should switch to the TR6 plugs since you will be spraying, I am not sure what they meant by "micro chip". A 10lb bottle should last you about 4~8 runs depending on different variables.

I dont know if they kit comes with "everything" what all do they list for it? Install prices will vary with what extras you have with the kit.

 

I got some more clarification from an LS1 Mechanic. The Kit is complete and it will be a $300.00 install.

The micro chip that the salesman told me is not a "chip"

Basicly it just tells the TB that you are at WOT then it kicks in.

When the switch is off the NOS is off.

When the switch is on it kicks in at WOT.

It's under the LS1 Section as a new kit for LS1's.

sounds like the regular ol WOT switch to me.

also, DO NOT pay $300 to install unless you get "serviced" with your car. You can do it....its not hard, or pay a local to do it for like $100.

 

I guess I could shop around. The bottle is gonna go in my spare tire well and the switch is gonna go in my ash tray.

I will make some calls and see what the going rate is.
