Bottle... what size is the fitting for the pressure gauge ?

Bottle... what size is the fitting for the pressure gauge ? Ok... I have a digital pressure gauge... long story short, be careful when tightening brass fittings as they like to break easily...
I need to know what size the opening is where the pressure gauge goes (I think it's 1/4 inch?) also what type of end is that? I bought a bunch of brass fittings from sears but none of them would thread in... Closed one was a 1/4 inch flare piece but that was too long.
