This is a pic from when I first started tuning. Looking back I was way rich rich but you get the idea with the fuel ring and timing mark on the strap.

yes... Rich in that one......LOL
but the timing mark on the strap is well defined...which is also a good indicator that you are in the right heat range...

if the timing mark isnt visible at all, you are too cold...if its visible, but looks blurry or smudged or smeared, then you are too hot
