Default Plugs and compression

Just for discussion I have been wondering about my higher compression and my plugs running nitrous , I'm going to go with a 175 hp shot been running an BR7FE is this good or do i need to go to an b8efs , just raised my compression 1 point , in my last up grade .

any input would be appreciated . my mods are in my signature

IMO an 8 plug would be good choice since upping your compression. The added heat needs to be accounted for with having more compression. Lets put it this way also, a colder plug has never killed a motor either.

I think the old rule of thumb is for every 100 fwhp you gain you need to drop down one heat range. So if you were seeing a good mark on the 7s then bumped up compression 1 full point a 8 plug is fine. Like bullet said, too cold of a plug never killed a motor. Heck I run 10s on the 300 shot, just my two cents.
