nitrous cam questions
nitrous cam questions my kit will be a 250 or so on a progressor
motor is a lq4 with flattop pistons{forged}
vic jr carb intake and 317s with some port work
arp head studs and rod bolts
trans. is turbo 400 trans with brake
car is 79 fairmont {2800 lbs with me in it}
rear coil over set up and adj upper and lowers
373 rear with mini spool in the 8.8
with a 315/50/15 drag radial
i drive the car a little bit around town and to the track{45m round trip}
want a cam thats nasty n/a and gets off on the gas. also looking for a idea on the converter. thanks greg

Martin @ Tick can help you get where you need to be on this. You don't say what heads or intake. Those are going to be key pieces of info in getting you the right cam and converter.

What will you do more, race N/A or race with spray?
For instance, WhiteLTone has a pretty nitrous specific cam and converter combo.. It goes mid 10's on HP, and went 9.19 with a 225hp plate kit.
If you want more of a dedicated N/A cam, I can do that but you probably won't see any gains with anything over 200hp because of the valve timing.
