Need Cam suggestion for 383 looking to spray
My short block is complete (383). I want to run a really big cam, but I have been told to be careful with nitrous. How big can I go? How much of a role does lobe separation play?
I was considering:
Duration at 0.050"
Int 241
Exh 253
Lift
Int - 0.570"
Exh - 0.570"
Lobe Separation Angle 106
I would be willing to go 110 or 112 lsa, but I like the rough idle. I want people to hear me coming. I drove a car with this cam (heads, etc.. it was an 02 Z06) for a couple of days and didn't see any problems having it as a daily driver.
Will I destroy my new motor? I want to run TNT 150 shot.
Thanks.

for a tnt 150, i would have a good fuel system like a walbro 340 and then make sure to wide band it on a dyno or something to make sure its not lean.
good luck
