Default Some questions for a 1st timer

Ok I just got my F1 kit that I will be installing this weekend. so

1st Do tr6's hurt any performance when runnin n/a?
and

2nd Why does everyone set the window switch so low?
Like on at 3,000. If I set it to activate at 5,500
to 6,400 (7,000 limiter) That way I could launch
at 5,000 and then it kicks in. When I shift at 6,400
the revs never dop down bellow 5,800 or so.

3rd my kit I bought doesnt have a purge.
Do I really need that? I mean I dont care if there
is a little air in the line

TR6 will cost you a VERY small amount of HP NA. Probably not even noticable. It may idle a little rougher though.

If you launch at 5000 you will either spin if you have no traction...or bog if you do have traction. What you obviosly want is traction...so under those conditions you will bog yourself right out of your window if its set up at 5500. Also theres nothing like cruising on the street and nailing it at 3500 rpm in second gear...lots of torque to have fun with.

Purge is not a "must have" even on a wet kit. Unless maybe your a serious racer and track rat. Lots of people blip the nitrous during the burnout to purge at the track...or just hit the juice momentarily to purge on the street.
I personally like having a purge..purely for the fear factor
