Default killing knock sensors on a sprayed motor.......

ok, im building a 375cid for juice. Im looking at running a solid cam, and from what i hear, the additional noise from the lifters sounds like knock, and you have to kill the knock sensors.

1st off, how dangerous is this. Keeping in mind when im spraying im also running 110octane.

what do i need to monitor when (if) i do this?

thanks guys.

No knock sensors can be a scary thing to do on spray, so I would recommend:

1 - pull a bunch of timing on spray just to be sure
2 - use race gas, which you will be doing
3 - make sure you have cool plugs so there are no hot spots for detonation

Anyone else have any suggestions/experience with this?

great.

were going to running a teflon coated piston....should help transfer heat better.

with the nitrous, were trying to fab an nx wet kit to pull 110 out of a fuel cell in the back and into the fuel rails WHEN im on the bottle, and when im not, i'll be running 93 around town.

im gonna be keeping tabs on f/p, a/f, egt's...

anything else?

thanks guys..

nope. i've got a local guy i trust a great deal. Plus, if something goes wrong, i've got him here to

1.) help troubleshoot
2.) warranty what he did.

plus, he's doing it for free
