It only can be used with low amperege draw. So only powershots noids or maybe a single cheater noid.

Re: RPM-based Progressive Controller? Or, put it in line with a properly sized contact relay and run the biggest baddest noid that you can find.

Re: RPM-based Progressive Controller? Have been doing alot of searching on this and found that most [all?] controllers flutter the noids. Know one guy using one on a 200HP setup and he had to rebuild about once a month-he sprayed 2-3 bottles every weekend. I found some noids that are designed to be fluttered. They are are at www.noswizard.com/pulsoids.php and they sell controllers as well. Good luck.

Re: RPM-based Progressive Controller? Bad news on the Crane piece is that it's designed for 12V square wave, while the LS1s use a 5V square wave signal for the tach. I talked to crane about this some time back and their statement is that it won't work on an LS1 and cannot be modified to work with a 5V signal. Of course, there are lots of folks using RPM accessories that are designed for 12V square wave and they work fine on these cars, but occasionaly there are those that have problems - MSD window switches come to mind. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has direct experience with one of these on an LS1.
Jacobs also has an RPM based controler (the Nitrous Matermind). It is also designed for 12V sq. wave, and their position is the same as crane's - it won't work on an LS1. I seem to recall a long while back hearing from someone who was using the Nitrous Mastermind on an LS1.

Re: RPM-based Progressive Controller? Al, I'd be tempted to try if I had a stick instead of the auto (I don't think a RPM based controller is the right thing for a stalled auto car). GM certainly endowed the LS1 w/ an oddball ignition, but other RPM accessories seem to work okay 99% of the time. If you want to try one out I'd be willing to see what I can do price wise. If you could try it out quick and get it back to me if it doesn't work out well, I'd be able to send it back probably
