300 shot what gears?

300 shot what gears? I have a 2005 Pontiac gto with Nitrous Outlet Direct Port kit 150 shot, cam, headers, exhaust, fast 102, Mallory 110 FP, Fuel Cell. I been looking on ls1gto for what gears to run on 300 shot. Some ppl say stay with the stock gears, some say 373 gears, some say 391 gears witch ones? Im doing a 408 iron block with 300 shot in December. Im doing all the suspension work this year and im looking at gears for the rear right now.

I seen a lot of the gto with 300 shot ran like high 130 to 140+mph. Some ppl say u can run out of gear? I street race to but also like drag racing. Try to get the best gears for both street/drag racing.

I'd leave the stock 3.46 gears in there... especially with an auto and a 408ci motor coming up. I run 3.50 gears behind my 402 and stalled auto.
Steeper gears become less important when you have:
a) a stalled auto
b) bigger cubes
c) nitrous
You'll have all 3...
I think you're bigger focus should be on the 408 build and the supporting stall and driveline upgrades.
