Any pros or cons on running a hotcam with a 150 shot? I am planning on running N/A for awhile with the hotcam, but when I'm ready for the nitrous, can I continue using the hotcam, or will it just fall on its face?

 

Pretty much any aftermarket cam is going to work better than the stock one even on nitrous

 

What ^^^ said is true but I would add while the is nothing wrong with the hot cam and any cam is better than no cam, there are much better can options available now. Don't get me wrong the hot cam was great in its hay day but that was 13 years ago. For the same amount or a little more you could get a custom grind from a sponsor that will net you much better gains. I recommend giving Martin at tick performance a call. Very good company and guy to deal with. He will point you in the right direction whether you purchase from him or not.

 

used to have a Zex kit a few years back. N/A my car ran 12.04-12.1's with the hotcam.
Put on the Zex kit and ran a 75shot, [ about 55rwhp ] and dropped to 11.5's in the 1/4.
I was pretty happy and I think you will be too.

 

im running 11.6 on a ZEX 150 with only 1.6RR, getting reat to HOT CAM it, 58 TB port the intake, Ford red top injectors, long tubes and 600 lift springs...re-tune and hopin 10.9ish....stay tuned....
