For those of you who had to cut some off of the "neck" of your lid, what did you use, and did it cut easily? I'm thinking of just using my sawsall, will this work well? TIA, Shawn

With the SLP 85mm MAF, the MAF won' fit down in the lid like the stocker did. This makes the maf sit back ~1.5", which makes the bellows sit back ~1.5", etc. The stock bellows is jammed in there, the SLP bellows won't even fit. I either ned to cut down the bellows or the lid, not sure yet, bellows would be easier and more forgiving, but....

How do you like the new mod? Any SOTP difference? I'll call you later, Shawn

 

you shouldnt need to cut anything. ill show you how mine is- you need the thing to go OVER the lid, not in it with a larger maf.

 

oh yea, it feels pretty good so far...ill be able to tell a little better today if its not wet out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

 

Used a dremel. worked like a charm even clean cut.
