Default 1/8th-mile to 1/4-mile times question

I was at Indianapolis Raceway Park last night looking to see improvement on my times, but their 1/4-mile clocks were not working. I had a best 1/8th-mile time 7.59 at 95mph. What does it translate to in the 1/4-mile?

i ran a 7.54 at 92mph and 11.74 at 117mph in the quarter. what do you have to have to pass tech at irp? i plan on running there next year after a 6 point cage is installed this winter. you should come to muncie drag strip and run sometime.

The 6-pt rollbar is one item you need for safety. You need the 5-pt harnees with the bar. Other than a driveshaft loop and a blow-down tube for the nitrous bottle that is what is needed. I don't have many mods in the car.

I wish I had 1/4-mile times, but my best N/A with stock intake lid and exhaust was 13.36 at 106mph. I can't find the timesheet on that run, but my 1/8-mile NA run was 8.487 at 86mph. The only other time I have 1/8-mile time is 8.75 at 82mph, but with a worn stock clutch and launching soft. Driving around town with the cutout open and the new lid, it felt really strong. A cheap cat-back with ability to have the quiet stock exhaust.

Thanks for the info. I ran a best of 13.24 stock except free ram air mod and cut egr tube. That run 1/8 mile was 8.5 @ 84 mph.I'd like to touch the 12's without making too many changes.I though about airlid and Mccord power cutout.I know the cutout wll help big time on the spray. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
