Damn! and it still went faster than an 8.80! I want to see what it will do in the 1/4 with a gear change.

As Dave stated, we don't really talk about it much. I cut my best 60ft Saturday night. It's fast

Are you getting that much slip in the converter? I have ran 28's all the time with 3.73's and 4.10 and got near the rpm you have and made it thru the 1/4. I have a Nova right now with 4.56's and a 28 and it is doing what yall's is doing. So I dont see how 3.73's are letting it run out of gear. Plus its on a 200 shot but I would assume you are hitting it with a whole lot more

Not really, it's a tight converter. Real tight. It's on a 275/60 radial. I don't run quarter much at all. No need to really, we've got 5 local 1/8 mile tracks to choose from.

Sounds like you got to be hitting around 155-156 . I wonder if a gear swap would slow it down? Thats the problem with sbe and not wanting to spin it over 7400-7500. Less gear may allow you more room , but, could slow it down. Impressive for sure, but , like you said I would leave the gear , add more jet and run 1/8 mile stuff. I think you could see some 5.30's with more jet in good air.
