I have a 3600'ish stall NA.. and turns into 4500'ish on the gun. I used to have a window switch but thats gone.. Now I just have a arming switch and a WOT switch.
Here are my ideas to launch the car. I really want to launch it out of the hole to get the best 60' possible.
1. Leave arming off. Brake torque to 1200'ish and flash the converter. As soon as I see the RPM's hit 3000'ish I hit the arming switch to activate nitrous.
2. Arm the system and brake torque to 2500'ish and just go WOT..
#1 I think might hit harder but will be more volatile. #2 might intake backfire from low RPM's.
What do you guys think/recomend?
My kit is a TNT kit and I'll be spring 150 and bigger.

nysbadmk8, what do you mean leave off the line with the juice on??? Just arm the system and flash the converter from about 1200 RPM's and let the WOT switch activate the nitrous? I launch WOT. That meas as soon as I launch I'll be spraying nitrous.. probably around 1400 RPM's. THat seems a little low.
CAT3, Yea I know about the torque nitrous does down low. The lower you spray on the dyno, the more torque you'll make but the bigger the risk of intake backfire is. I also have a V6 so I won't be making THAT much torque.
I have an aluminum driveshaft with 4.10's in the back. Yea, its a risky combo but I think with the V6 I should still be ok.. I hope.
I will post the results of which works better.. however I don't want to backfire trying a bad method, ya know? Perhaps somebody can recomend a better idea.
I do want to spray as soon as possible for the quickest possible ET.

If you got the driveshaft and rear to support it sure, either will work. Read the thread on torque spike when spraying? N2O spikes more torque at the lower RPM's than higher, so if you hit it out of the hole at 3k, your slamming a couple ***-loads of torque into you driveshaft and rearend. If you hook real good, that can spell trouble <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" /> . Didn't see in your sig, so don't know. I launch from idle with street tires, zip it up thru first, arm and wack that pedal all the way down. Best 60' on streets is 1.84, not spaying either. Best on ET streets is like 1.66, not spraying. With factory driveshaft and rearend I don't need to make an excuse to upgrade-read scared and not enough funds to buy either right now. After trying either post up results so you may be able help us others yeah? Good-luck.

the converter will flash fastest enought that you will be safe in the rpms to spray out of the hole. just do what ever worked best on motor and do the same on juice. just stage turn the switch on and hold on.
I have sprayed a 100 shot on a 4000 converter off the line. I usually hold it at 1500 rpm and roll into it pretty hard. My best 60' doing this has bee an 1.54. If I try to stall it higher, the tires cut loose, lower and the 60' drops.
