Why can't you add an external boost-a-pump?

I've been researching and have found some people doing external pumps and such. I might go that route.

If your stock pump is going out, the boost a pump is a terrible idea.

If your stock pump just cant keep up, then boost a pump is the most cost effective idea.

Theres no indication that its going bad. It has 65k miles on it and it handles the N/A power flawless. It just cant handle the extra flow when pulling from the rail.

I've decided to go the standalone route. Could be a band-aide fix, but I think its the right move as i'll be able to really dial up the nitrous for what could be a low 10 second pass if the transmission will hold up.

I ditched the plate and went with a Nitrous Outlet nozzle, I didnt get a chance to make it to houston to get the kit checked out but Im sending the plate to get flowed to rule out any other possibilities. Im back at work, so i'll put it on the dyno with A/F when I return home to get the real picture.

I don't think the stand alone is quite as much of a band aid fix as going with an inline pump or something like that would be. The stand alone leaves you room to grow and will save your cars fuel pump from being overworked.

Works for me.

The nozzle you sent performed better then the plate I had, judging from feel of the pants. I'll have it on the dyno in a few weeks to confirm.
