how much nitrous on 01 ls6 I'm buying a 01 ls1 short block it has been disassembled I am looking to build reassemble it buy some heads a carbd intake msd 6010 box etc and drop it into a fox body coupe. I am wanting to spray the motor with at least a 150 shot maybe a 175. I am gonna port/polish the heads and intake put a bigger cam and springs in. I am looking for about 600-700 crank HP on the nitrous. Is it possible? And how much nitrous will a stock bottom end ls6 hold
Its possible. The question is can you tune it to make it last.
150 is the safe go have fun point on a stock bottom end. I have customers pushing 300-400 hp through the stock bottom end. It takes knowledge and baby steps to get it to live though.

The same setup you are talking about doing we have done with a fox body. It has a TSP torquer v2 cam and on a 175 shot it has ran 9.80's with out the box jetting. Still has more left in it with a little tuning, its running rich on the bottle and we have a decent amount of timing out of it. I can see this car ending up in the low 9's with more jet and tuning.
