Default When do you need bigger Injectors

I have 28lb from the factory. I just wanted to know how much horespower it can handle. I plan on doing a 100 shot soon so I should be over the 500RWHP can the 28lb injectors handle that much.

Damn, a 100 shot is going to put you over 500rwhp?
What mods do you have now?

I'm not sure exactly when you should upgrade your fuel system. I'm fairly sure a stock fuel pump and injectors can't handle 500rwhp. You might want to upgrade to a Walbro in-line pump and bigger injectors just to be on the safe side.

Like I said though, I'm no expert.

My new motor is gonna consist of a ARE Street Eliminator shortblock with TEA Stage 2 5.3 heads with a TR 230/224, LS6 intake, SLP long tube headers w/orp and loudmouth exhaust. I'm guessing this combo alone will be good for around 430rwhp so the 100 shot would put me over 500rwhp.

Sounds like a nice setup. Your definitely going to want to upgrade your fuel system. A 100 shot will be nasty on that car! Torque is going to be ridiculous.

Are you going with a wet kit or dry kit? The stock 28lb injectors should be good for the motor alone and if you are using a wet kit then it's not going to put any more load on the injectors, just the fuel pump. If that the case then all you'll need to do is upgrade the fuel pump and you should be fine. If you are doing a dry kit then you will need bigger injectors and a fuel pump. The stock fuel system is good to about 450rwhp. Hope this helps.....
