Has anybody here used one of these Venom 400s yet? I want one for my Blazer(hope to have a LS_1 soon) and my buddy is looking into it for his Z-28. We both think its pretty weird to say that you get up to 40% hp gains( i think) from a computer on a N/A motor. Plus they say you can keep your aftermarket chips in there ( I have a Hypertech thermomaster he has a Jet) and their computer will just take over go from there. Thanks for your help in advance

I read on Summit's website that they promise 25%+ HP in 30 minutes. BULLSHIT. It's just like a MAFT with out the adjustablity.
All it does is modify the MAF values and throttle positions singal from the real values to trick the computer into throwing more timing and fuel at the motor. You are NOT going to get anywhere NEAR 25% HP on pretty much any motor that is remotely close to stock, and if fact may LOSE power due to increase knock retard. There just isn't any tuning really necessary on a car that was tuned optimually from the factory.
If you have a modified car that is running a little rich or lean, you're better off getting the MAFT so at least you have some CONTROL over what's being modified.
