Default WILL MY MOTOR LIVE?!?!

hehe hope that got your attention.Ok to the point, my 100% bone stock motor has 74204 miles on it. 30PSi of oil pressure at idle, burns NO oil. Will it live with an NX wet 100 shot? usedfrom 3500-5500ish? I don't need it to live for ever, just about 6 months, and it won't be sprayed often, i'm to lazy to fill a bottle I'm jsut wonder if it will even take the first shot!

i dont see why not. nx 100 wet shot is pretty safe. will other parts other than the engine hold up....who knows. is it a m6 or a4 car? running etstreets or drag radials?

M6, on nittos, I won't be spraying until 2nd gear. rolls only, no digs hehe i just mainly want it for my amusement, I am doing a lot of chassis work, because that will be set up before a built motor goes in it...

Miles and condition of engine is not a positive correlation. You can grenade a 2000 mile car with nitrous if your running lean. Check your O2 readings first, especially with a 100shot. Ported MAF's are reportedly running leaner than stock, and there are other factors too so safer or sorry you choose. Next, if your wanting to spray, I assume you have listened to the engine for obvious precursors of detonation/bearing failure etc.... Good-Luck.

Charlie.

I pulled the screen out oy my maf and thats about it, yes i've looked at the motor, it has always, and continues to run just a bit on the rich side, no detonation, in the heat of the summer i only got 1-2 degrees of knock retard under WOT, fuel pressure is good, no knocking sounds yet even piston slap is minimal at startup. Still runs just as strong as it always has, I think it will be OK, as i said I won't spray it much, I'm too lazy to fill the bottle Just wanted sone 2nd opinions!

i used to run a nx 100 shot on bfg's on the street, like you said from a 2nd gear roll. it was a blast! i had a ported maf, and my car dynoed richer than on motor with a nx 100 shot. made 434hp/590tq with bolt ons. i ran it once at the track like that and hit the switch as soon as i felt it grab in 1st gear and ran a 12.03 @ 121. the stock clutch will hate you if thats what you are going to run. my z06 clutch would not engage hard on nitrous gear changes.

good luck, i think you will be fine, just check the atap readings and maybe wide band it on the dyno.

What year model LS6 clutch did you order? I have the 2002 model, and it grabs pretty damn well... held a 4000 rpm DUMP at the track, with traction, and holds powershifts into 5th just fine (chirps the nittos actually) I won't be powershifting on the N2O, like I said it's mostly just for my amusement until after I get the chassis set up
