Default How does this sound? Nos mini with efilive cos5

I'm trying to find someone familiar with the nos mini. There seems to not be many articles on people using them. I have seached for days with very little luck.

First, I will be using a nos mini (TPS) to activate my noids. I will be using efilive cos5 to pull timing via ground pin 56 on the red connection.

If I am understanding correctly on how the mini works, once the TPS reaches 100% the mini will then activate the ch 1 noids and ch 1 output ( yellow wire). The wire should send ground the whole time the noids are firing (TPS at 100%).

If this is in fact correct I should be able to run the yellow wire (ch 1 output) directly to pin 56 red connector. Or do I need to use a relay off the yellow wire to pin 56 to send a ground for retarding timing?

Will this work properly? Or should I tap the stage 1 noid wire to send a signal to the PCM with a relay. Thanks for the help, I am very new with this

Thanks boostit5.3, I will put this to test hopefully Monday. Everything is installed and wired just waiting for the PCM pin connector to arrive so can plug the yellow wire to pin 56 red

VERY NICE COMBO! I use exactly that, NOS Mini w/COS5.
I use channel 1 for the noids and channel 2 for the COS5.
You really do not want the COS5 shut off as soon as the noids are off.
Think about combustion at that second and the fact that you will add ALL your spark back in when COS5 is disabled. Just an added safety precaution.
No relay necessary to the PCM. You can go straight there via Mini output as you described. You can use either then orange or yellow, just make sure they are both setup!

More q? Just ask.

Thanks 03ebz06, you raise a very good point. How would I use ch 2 output?
Would I,
A. Splice the yellow wire and orange together to pin 56. So yellow will pull timing while noids are activated, then orange will carry me for 1-3 sec after noids deactivate.

B. just use ch2 orange wire to pin 56 to pull timing, the way you mentioned.

C. I don't know, I'm a complete newb at this!

All help is greatly appreciated. I should definitly pull timing after noids stop spraying for a few seconds.

I use option B. Note, you could also do A. The outcome would be the same. A would shut off, then B would still be on. If B ever failed, maybe A still on in failure.
