Would a progressive controller help save my trans?
I'm going to buy a used kit to satisify my hp needs until I get another engine built. I have an A4 (Vig 3200). I don't want to fry my trans, would a progressive controller help keep that from happening?
what you mean by drivetrain shock?
i think it won't help much with saving your tranny, it will smooth the shot by giving nitrous by portions (a bit from the line and then adds up when you have no problems with traction), but you still get all your 400-500 HPs are going through your tranny.
yeah, that would be great if someone make a good explanation how it works and its benefits, coz it costs a whole bunch of cash and they don't give you much info on what it does and how it works.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Prog/Contr. should help save the trans by letting the user program in how much shot hits when. By smoothing out the initial torque spike you should be saving hella wear and tear on the trans. Most A4 failures I have heard of are from running bigger shots and all at once hits. The lower the RPM the larger the toque spike, a shitload of torque thrown at an A4 will gut quickly. Between that and using a window switch you should be much safer and realistically longer trans life. Good-luck.

Also will help you from losing traction.
