No the tune is not pointless at all, but it also doesn't create the same "real world scenario" as racing it at the track. Bottom line...having the right tune is crucial, but it is still wise to check them every so often. How often do you run it at the track?

Try to make it once a month. And a few street runs every few weeks

Tune the car w/the motor on dyno. Then every pass check a few plugs while on nitrous. I check mine after each pass. Each visit to the track is a slight tune up.;

Well after I get the nitrous tune I won't be able to pull timing on it myself , if the dyno nitrous tune is not worth getting I can invest the money on a timing retard and do it that way . I just hate changing the pass side plugs and was trying to avoid it as much as possible !

ok, granted I use DP and all my plugs pretty much look the same.
Run a few passes, get a feel for what each plug looks like, then choose
1 from each side for monitoring or maybe even 1 from easiest access.
A timing retard for you would be mandatory. That way if you have control of FP, you are good for track tuning.

Ill just have it tuned for nitrous and check a few plugs after the first pass.
Or maybe do a wot pull on the street and tow home to check plugs ... Might as well delete my heater panel to make access to plugs a lot more easier
