Default Optimal A/F ratio and timing for a 100Hp shot?

I haven't dyno'd since I added the NX single stage kit, the last N/A dyno runs the A/F was 12:1 and timing was 28 degrees. What is the optimal A/F and timing for a 100hp shot? I am thinking about going with 11:1 A/F and 23 degrees timing to compensate for RAM effect. Your comments please, TIA.

I only backed off 2 degrees from stock with a NX 100 shot on a Mustang DOHC and kept the ratio between 12.0 and 12.5 to 1. And I'm not sure I needed to back off the timing that much.

I agree with Joe......You really don't need to back the timing off quite that much. Also 11.0 is pretty damn rich, you would be better off around 12.0-12.5 on the a/f........

Let me know what you end up with. in 3-4 th gear i cant get my nx single fogger to go any leaner than 10.x-1. 1-2 is about 12-13 just about right. also on notor stock 00 m6 I see about 28 deg timing at wot 6000k and on the bottle I see about 30 deg at 6000k. I do not knock nor do I pull timing. Remember nitrous loves timing but *BEWARE*.

Matt,

How the hell are you dude? I'll be at the new shop this coming week end for the grand opening, damn glad to hear you guys are getting back together in a new shop WOO HOO. I lifted the heads on the sauce so you guys are going to be installing some ARP head studs and Cometic gaskets for me and I'm buying an LS6 intake as an experiment so we'll change that out also. Anyway, the A/F is at 12 to 12.5 now and the timing is at 28 degrees. I think I may have gotten some KR because of the timing which caused the cylinder pressure to be alittle high and stretched the head bolts hence the ARP studs, so I was thinking of backing the timing off to about 3 degrees and fattin the A/F up alittle. Don't let slim try and charge me too much, see you all Saturday !!!

Kobwo,

No it's not spedwurkz. Their new shop which has it's grand opening this Saturday is called M.M.T = Modern MuscleCar Technologies, it's in Rowlett off I-30 near Dallas. Their a bunch of great guys who really know their stuff about LS1's,LS6's,ZO6's and just about every other hot rod you can name. They are all N20 nutz, I highly reccomend them. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
