Default Need help from you BIG shot dry users

I could use some help here. I am getting ready to retune my computer and run a dry system. The retune is for 42 pound injectors. I have a cheater solinoid and was going to run a fan nozzle. Is it better to run 1 fan nozzle or 2 of the straight nozzles pointed at each other. I want to jet it for 150 eventually, I will be starting from 75 and going up to watch 02's.

Please let me know your thoughts, especially those who have done systems like this and have experience running them on the dyno as well as Street/Strip use. Maybe 383LQ4 could help me out again

Thanks Guy's

I run a 200 dry on occassion but the only setup Ive used is the dual nozzle just like the basic NOS 5177 kit. Not sure if a single fan would be better..but Ive had no problems with the dual setup.

Thanks again Al for all the help. I think I will go with the dual nozzle and play with nozzle placement. Did you install them to the 5177 instruction specs or pick a place for the nozzles your self?

keep in mind with Nozzle placement you have to keep the main spray disipated away or not directly into the MAF.. .this will damage the small filament heated wires and the MAF... then you may get into bigger issues.. the NOS spec is the closest i would do which are basically opposing each other which guarantees the fog goign directly into the air track rather than bouncing off the sides... just my o2... when sparying this much you will need colder smaller gapped plugs for reliability and to keep possible detonation down... and with a 200 i wouldn't run 93 gas.. 100 unleaded or leaded 110. and are you taking any timing out? this is also pretty crucial for longevity...

Wes,
Thanks for the info. I will be running autolite 103's gapped at about 31 thou. The timing in the car right now is locked at 24* total. I might leave it that way and then spray it or buy the timing tuner and use that. I really want a timing tuner, but worry about how good they work. One guy on here said he didn't have good luck with it. I also don't like the fact that you don't know what the timing is in the car with the tuner, you have to do the math to figure it out. I wonder if Ramchargers can come out with a timing guage the shows the timing you are getting after the tuner. I actually have a TNT wet system that I was going to sell if the dry worked out good, but I might give up on the dry system and put the TNT back on. Any nay sayers ?

there was one guy i know of that had problems and voiced them. personally you have to take his issues with a grain of salt.. he had other issues as well.. I have one and it has worked AWESOME from day one.. i spray a 175 shot on my LS6.. the dry shots work very well nad that is what i use when not using a fogger style.. our manifold are not made to have fuel in them.. little thing called air resonance time in the manifold.. the air is in the manifold so long it is possible the fuel will fall out of suspension and puddle creating a boom.. there are guys using them and love the "hit" .. that is another story. the timing computer will work fine for you.. it does come with a table of what seting is what retard.. easy to figure.. look at autotap or whatever your scan tool is and subtract your retard pretty easy. Mike and Dave are great guys who can anser any questions.. not to mention you can control delay, low activation and high RPM shut off.. keep an eye on your 02's and if your not leaning out you should be fine.. good luck

Definitely use the 5177 dual nozzle setup. I used the hidden fan spray nozzle for a while, and it broke my maf. The nozzle was even aimed towards the front of the car.
