Default Nitrous intake!! Help or Hurt???

Vic Jr and eblow or Holley Mid Rise (ls2)

I have been thinking of doing something different rather than your conventional intakes like the Fast's or ported stockers only if they will help of course!

The plan is to run some TF 225's and a Vic Jr or Holley intake with a 150-200 shot on an ls2

will these intakes even help, is it a wastes since I'm not adding any more air(boost) then stock besides adding some spray to it?

Thanks,
Frankie

It has been proven many times in the past that putting an elbow on a vic intake with a N/A setup loses hp. Many guys went with a 4 hole tb and picked hp back up.

If you drive more on the street, I would just stick with a stock style intake. If you do more racing and limited street driving I would go with a vic with a 4 hole T/B.

You could always go with the Vic. intake/4150 or 4500 TB and run an air filter on top of it. I wouldn't do the elbow. That defeats the purpose of that type of intake/TB on a N/A/Nitrous car.

Exactly what 87silverbullet said. I did the vic jr with an elbow and lost 30rwhp on motor. I ditched the elbow and went with a 4150 tb and picked all that lost hp up and a good bit more. I would def stick with a traditional type intake manifold though if I were you unless its mainly a track car and even then it would be hard to justify on a sbe car as you really need high rpm to take advantage of a vic jr and most dont feel comfortable taking a stock bottom end past 7k rpm.

thanks guys, the car will be maybe 50/50 street/ drag racing, I didn't plan on spinning it that fast on the stock bottom end, I may try the 4150 tb, or just stay with the regular style intake, I will eventually have this set up on a built motor and would just like to buy once, I have seen very good things from a dual stage 102 plate kit which is the next option I was looking at!
